On our second day in Munich, we pretty much just toured biergartens. Our first stop was the Seehaus Biergarten in the English Garden. It was so pretty among the trees and on the lake. Of course we had to rent a paddle boat because my legs weren’t hurting enough 😉 .

The next stop was the Chinesischer Turm Biergarten, also in the English Garden. There was a band in the second floor of the tower; it seemed like they enjoyed drinking too much because they would play a song and then drink for 10 minutes and play another.
Our last stop for the day was the Augustiner-Keller Biergarten. This one was a little less frills and seemed to be more of a local hangout than the others.

After stumbling home that night, we had to check out the next morning to head to Zurich, after a stop at Dachau. But before we left, we got to make a dream of mine come true and see the Keith Haring exhibit that happened to be in Munich. Our first day in Munich we were walking around and I happened to see this poster on a street pole:
So glad I did because it was awesome. Growing up I loved Keith Haring and had his paintings hanging in my bedroom (non-phallic related ones at least 🙂 ) so it was amazing to see his work in person. I was surprised at how large many of his works were, having only seen prints.

Next up, Dachau. To say it was haunting would be an understatement. More tomorrow!
